Fine Spun

Carrie Biell's third release is an intimate foray into delicately purposeful musical territory.

Carrie is an identical twin born to deaf parents. When she was nine, her family moved from Orange County to Seattle. She formed her first band in 8th grade with her on bass and her sister on guitar. She started performing solo at age 17.

Carrie has been on this musical path for six years and along the way has perfected her sparkling talent for translating emotions into lyrics and accompanying them with peerless sounds. She has found herself on some of Seattle’s best stages opening for artists such as Jenny Toomey, Kristin Hirsh and Eleni Mandel.

Today, she plays around Seattle with her live band featuring Steve Norman's pedal steel, Dobro, banjo and electric guitar, Steve Craft on drums, Jason Ward on bass and Katie Mosehauer's lovely violin. Her music will draw comparisons to Cat Power, Jenny Lewis, and Neko Case and we know there are only great things ahead for the wonderfully talented and beautiful Carrie Biell.
