Lust for you. On and on.

Evil Beaver is back with another loud, heavy and fantastic release: In The Spirit of Resilient Optimism.

In The Spirit Of Resilient Optimism features electric lead bassist & vocalist, Ms. Evil, with Jonny 'Jojo Beav' Jones (Seven Red Seven) on drums. The 6 songs on the release were recorded and mixed at Million Yen Studios in Chicago by Andy Gerber (Cheap Trick) and produced by Evie.

With an eclectic crossover appeal, Evil Beaver have shared the stage with bands like Bell Rays, The Gossip, Imperial Teen, Nina Hagen, Rasputina, and The White Stripes.

Rock on.

Fiery

Evil Beaver are a bass and drum rock duo and were founded in Chicago in 1999 by Evie Evil. Within their first year, Evil Beaver released Lick It and in 2003, Pleased To Eat You. Both CD’s were mixed and recorded by producer Dave Trumfio (The Breeders, Wilco, Billy Bragg).

Their recent release, Models of Virvue E.P.,was released earlier this year and “is inspired by Angels that live among us, and guide us in life”. Don’t let the quote mislead you, however, Evil Beaver make loud, heavy, solid rock noize.

Evie Evil began performing at age 5 and has been hooked ever since. She has played live in more than 200 cities around the world. As electric lead bassist, vocalist and founder of Evil Beaver, Evie spends her time between her work in Los Angeles and her home in Chicago.

Gene Trautmann was born and raised in Portland Oregon. He began playing along while listening to his albums at the wee age of 11 – and at 19, moved to Los Angeles. Around L.A., Trautmann was involved with dozens of people including Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Jeffrey Lee Pierce of The Gun Club. Gene drummed with Queens Of The Stone Age for nearly three years, and recorded tracks for several QOTSA releases.

Evil Beaver are like social butterflies – and have completed four US tours, three European Tours and have shared the stage with more than 1,000 bands including Bellrays, Imperial Teen, Nina Hagen, Rasputina and The White Stripes. The hard hitting duo is heading back to Europe in September for a month and 17 rock shows! Check out their MySpace page for all the latest.
