Sweet, Saucy, SIZZLING!

Jana Peri is accompanied by Jim Stellato (Bass/vox) and Rob Holm (drums/vox). She has been playing in Manhattan Rock Clubs since 1994 and released her own self-titled EP in 1999. This past spring, Jana was featured in ROCKRGRL Magazine and her song, 'Dating Sucks,' was chosen by a panel of music industry judges as the lead track on ROCKRGRL's Discoveries 2004 compilation CD!

Jana’s musical influences run the gamut from 60’s rock legends such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, and the Kinks - to female punk and new wave artists of the 70’s and 80’s, such as Blondie, the Pretenders, and Joan Jett. She also credits her upbringing in Long Island as a major influence in her style "You can take the girl out of Long Island, but you can't take the Long Island out of the girl!.” Her EP is a collection of songs rich with hooks and vocal harmonies. Her style is aggressive yet melodic. Every song is a strong and tasty pop cocktail.

Jana made an appearance at the International Pop Overthrow festival at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool back in October. She is also very active in the downtown NYC rock scene. We encourage all our NYC listeners to see Jana live if you get a chance.
