The Words Exchanged in a Glance

It was a fantastic day at Church of Girl when we received Luff's debut full-length release, Blanket Ice. The album is moody, beautiful and angsty.

Formed in 2002, Brooklyn, NY based Luff are Sheila Sobolewski (guitar, vocals), Tara Smith (bass), Liz Bustamante (drums) and Triple Creme's Robin Pickering (guitar). They have created an amazing album that feels like a deeply important conversation represented through layers of sound and perfectly executed moments of sparseness.

The album was released yesterday and is already receiving praise from listeners and reviewers alike.

WORLD PREMIER from CoG!

Luff features Sheila Sobolewski who played drums with God Is My Co-Pilot for a while. CoG received the unmastered demo last month and waited to announce this amazing effort until we could send you to Luff's home online. Church of Girl is the first to bring you the sounds of Luff: beautiful, light, ethereal, yet full and substantive. They return to the studio in May to complete their first full-length recording.
