She's Not Yr F*ckin' Baby!

Nicky Click’s, You’re already A Member is her first CD on Crunks Not Dead -- an Olympia, WA-based label filled to the brim with electro-pop acts and fantastic ’80s-era costumes.

You’re already A Member is a 15 track collection examining power in language; the politics of passing; and purely fun topics like exercising and the importance of dancing. The CD also features three songs with fellow Church of Girl Radio Stars, Scream Club, along with other guests and a handful of remixes.

Much like Le Tigre or Gravy Train, Nicky melds her politics with energetic electronic dance music. She is also an aspiring hip-hop diva in the Peaches mold, reminding us “we should really love on another cos all we really have is each other”. No matter what her message, she puts her heart and soul into her performances.

She performs at diverse venues like the Seattle Queering Femininity conference and Ladyfest. She spent last winter in Europe opening for U.K. grime sensation Lady Sovereign. With Sov’s name on the lips of music bloggers everywhere, Click’s success can’t be far behind. Nicky likens her sound to "needles sewing your heart back together"; surrender your cardio-bits to her.
