Like
an alien virus rocking you to cryogenic sleep!
ZaTS is Zombina Venus Hatchett (vox) Doc Horror
(guitar/bass/vox), Jonny Tokyo (bass/keys/vocals), Taylor Woah
(guitar), Kit Shivers (drums). They are one of the most fun, prolific
and motivated bands we know. They never stop moving and are always
up to something. Whether it is establishing a successful punk glam
rock n' roll club in Merseyside or gigging up and down the UK,
sharing stages with The Damned, The Misfits and The Meteors or
working on a horror movie (Spring Heeled Jack's House of Wax).
On
Staci Stasis (Ectoplastic), ZaTS trade their zombie face
paint and fake blood for laser pistols and shiny, Barberella-esque,
outfits. On this three-track, the group perfect their special brand
of power-pop by the adding a cocktail of ‘60’s girls’ garage
rock cooked up with new wave synth. The effect is fuzzed-out, chaotic
and “supernaturally lively” – think The Pandoras
meets Devo.
Staci Stasis also showcases ZaTS talent for creating
anthem-like, gripping choruses which is the band does well no matter
what musical genre they play in. And ever-present is the natural
charisma of Zombina, which commands complete attention, but never
overpowers. Staci Stasis is a fun, catchy, and infectious EP that
will work its way into yr head and have you singing along before
you know it.

Mondo
Zombina!!
It’s our new mantra AND the title of Zombina
and the Skeletone’s
latest EP!
The band has a new guitarist, Louie Diablo, and the EP features
guest stars Benson Hedges on Sax, Gerry Fox on Trumpet and Stefan
Kelly on Jaws Harp. ZATS are still playing the best horror-pop-punk,
and the new songs include new twists and turns with a little Tijuana
brass, bongo rhythms gut bucket sax and other international influences.
“After we’d finished the recordings we built a fire
in the woods, danced naked under the moonlight, shaved off all
our hair and chanted a curse”. We can see it! “Mondo
Zombina” contains
four fantastically engaging, darkly delightful and inescapably
danceable songs plus a bonus track! The EP is available July 4,
2005.
Zombina and the Skeletones have mentioned a US tour in 2006. If
you these
rock zombies like we do, please write to Radiogirl @ churchofgirl.com
and tell her you want to help promote the fook’ out of their
US tour!

Rock
'n' Roll Vampires Will Steal Your !
Zombina and the Skeletones are five garage punk's
hailing from Liverpool, UK. Their songs are catchy – scarily
addictive! The band-mates are Zombina - vocals, Doc Horror - guitar/vocals,
Grim Outlook- guitar, Jonny Tokyo - Keys/Bass and Kit Shivers -
Drums.
In addition to their musical talents, ZATS are visionary
club-owners, establishing Merseyside’s finest punk glam rock
‘n’ roll club, Useless.
They have gigged with The Damned, The Misfits and The Meteors.
Not surprisingly, they have received many offers from record labels
in the UK and in America, but they choose to stay independent, and
recently recorded their debut singe, “I Was A Human Bomb For
The F.B.I.”.
The band are currently busy working on their
first horror movie and recording their second EP. We can’t
wait!
